I shoot with the 2x extender and my 70-200mm 2.8 - although it adds some serious length to the lens which makes me worry a bit about the pressure on the mount...so far so good. I saw 1.4 is much thinner. That might be an option for some of you.But if you need to double the distance you the way to go! Another major item Canon..
